Dibakar Banerjee, known for his experimental and unique storytelling, is back with the sequel to his 2010 crime-thriller Love, Sex Aur Dhokha. The film was ahead of its time due to its bold content, which Indian audiences were not used to. Now the teaser of the sequel has been released which has once again raised the bar with its provocative story. LSD 2 leaves no stone unturned in delivering a bold and provocative reality show
The 2.13-minute teaser gives viewers a glimpse into the TRP-driven television show and the lives of Gen Z influencers. Mouni Roy, Swastika Mukherjee, Tusshar Kapoor and Anu Malik will also be seen in the film. From an on-screen kiss in a live show to a reality series contestant slapping his mother, Dibakar has portrayed the toxicity of the new age authentically. Uorfi Javed also makes a brief cameo in the teaser. Amidst the catfights and abuse, there is also a glimpse of a brutal murder.
Dibakar Banerjee issues warning before teaser release of LSD 2
Dibakar had earlier warned the audience before the LSD teaser release and said, “It is not possible to make LSD and not show the truth. So, while making ‘LSD 2’, we portrayed the same truth, an authentic picture of life that we see around us. But nowadays, instead of believing in the truth, it has become fashionable to ignore it. So, if you are in that fashion, I can give you a disclaimer that you should not watch the teaser or trailer of ‘LSD 2’. If you are not an adult, do not watch the teaser or trailer of ‘LSD 2’. LSD as a franchise focuses on the uncomfortable realities of society. The new teaser once again attempts to move forward with its mature theme.
Love, Sex Aur Dhoka 2 will be released in theaters on April 19, 2024. It is produced by Ekta R Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor.
