Before the Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ally Chirag Paswan has suffered a big blow, 22 leaders of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) have resigned. Angry leaders said that they have resigned due to not getting tickets for the Lok Sabha elections.
The wave of resignations appears to have stemmed from grievances within the party, with allegations of ticket distribution in exchange for money emerging.

Some of the prominent names who have resigned from Paswan’s LJP are former MLA and LJP national general secretary Renu Kushwaha, Satish Kumar, state organization minister Ravindra Singh, Ajay Kushwaha, Sanjay Singh and state general secretary Rajesh Dangi.
Chirag Paswan’s party is fielding candidates on five seats including Hajipur. Other seats where Paswan’s LJP is contesting in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections are Vaishali, Samastipur, Khagaria and Jamui.
Interestingly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to address a rally in Jamui on Thursday. After representing Jamui for two consecutive terms, Paswan handed over the post to his brother-in-law Arun Bharti.
In the seat sharing agreement of India Block in Bihar, RJD got 26 seats, Congress got 9 seats.
In Bihar, BJP is contesting on 17 seats, Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal (United) on 16 seats and Jitan Ram Manjhi-led Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) on one seat each. But will contest elections.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA, comprising the BJP, JD(U) and LJP, won 39 out of 40 seats. At the same time, the grand alliance led by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress and RLSP managed to get only one seat.

Voting will be held in seven phases in Bihar. The first phase of voting will be held on April 19, the second phase on April 26, the third phase on May 7, the fourth phase on May 13, the fifth phase on May 20, the sixth phase on May 25 and the seventh phase. Phase on 1st June.
