There was panic among social media platform users when Facebook and Instagram suddenly went down in India and many other parts of the world on Tuesday evening. On both these platforms, users complained of problems in logging in. He was logged out of both Facebook and Instagram. Some people were not able to refresh Instagram pages. Many users got the message to change the password. After this, users changed their passwords several times but without success.
It is being told that soon after Facebook and Instagram were down, YouTube users also started facing similar problems. Outage tracking website DownDetector.com also revealed that the meta platform’s Facebook and Instagram were down for thousands of users on Tuesday.
There were more than 300,000 reports of outages for Facebook, while there were more than 20,000 reports for Instagram, according to the website, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from multiple sources, including users. Hundreds of people took to microblogging site X (formerly Twitter) to report about the Facebook and Instagram outage.
One user wrote, is Meta down or am I being hacked? My Instagram is not loading and my Facebook is also ‘logged out’.
Another said that for a second I thought that my Facebook and Instagram had been hacked.
Another user tweeted that I am coming to Twitter to see if #INSTAGRAM is down once again.
An ex-user ‘Fram Freeman’ claimed that I struggled to change the password three times, thinking that I was fighting hackers like in a movie.
