New Delhi. French car manufacturer Citroen has been selling vehicles in India for the last few years. The company is selling four models C5 Aircross, C3, eC3 and C3 Aircross in the domestic market. However, in December the company could not sell even a single unit of its eC3 electric car. The account of this car was not even opened in December 2023 and its total sales were 0 units. Let us tell you that the highest sale of this car was in August 2023, which was 271 units. Whereas, its 18 units were sold in November 2023.

If we look at the figures, the sales of other models of the company are also not satisfactory. Last month, the company’s flagship car C5 Aircross sold only 2 units, while C3 sold 309 units and C3 Aircross sold a total of 339 units. Citroën’s total monthly sales in December 2023 were only 650 units.

eC3 is the brand’s first electric car
The Citroen eC3 is the brand’s first electric car in India. This is one of the most affordable electric cars sold in the country. Its price starts from Rs 11.61 lakh and goes up to Rs 13 lakh (ex-showroom). It directly competes with Tiago EV and MG Comet EV.

Citroën eC3 powertrain and range
The Citroen eC3 gets a 29.2kWh battery pack with an electric motor that generates 57 PS of power and 143 Nm of torque. Its ARAI-rated range is claimed to be 320 kilometers. This car can be fully charged in 10 hours 30 minutes with a 15 A plug point charger. At the same time, with the help of DC fast-charger, it gets charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 57 minutes.

Features of Citroen eC3
The Citroen eC3 electric hatchback gets a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a manual AC and a digital instrument cluster. Features like keyless entry, height adjustable driver seat and connected car technology are also available in it. In terms of safety, this car has been provided with features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensor. This car has a boot space of 315 litres.
