Kriti Sanon has adopted a sophisticated approach to formal dressing as she styled her red saree with a touch of formal elegance.
Kriti Sanon recently featured in Barkha Dutt’s flagship show, We The Women, for a special segment titled Breaking Orbits. For the event, she chose a royal saree that had a certain structure. And the blouse especially stole the show. The dark, gorgeous ensemble really stood out with a classy finesse. Let’s take a look at this.

Kriti Sanon wore a deep, dark red saree by Kunal Rawal. The saree had sophisticated pleats that made it look ‘very graceful, very whimsical’. Her blouse was becoming the statement of her outfit. It had a collared high neck, front buttoned long sleeve blouse. Apart from the buttons and collar the blouse almost looked like a cropped jacket. The blouse had an interesting cut at the back.
The interesting texture makes the saree ideal for formal events, lacking any exaggerated embellishments. She sealed the monochromatic look with centre-parted hair and a neat bun. Her makeup remained soft to let the saree do all the talking. The actor went with her staple defined brow look, warm eyeshadow and pink lips. With just one circular earring, she kept the outfit minimal.
This outfit is ideal for formal occasions when you want to exude confidence and authority through attire. It could also be the desi equivalent of power dressing with fitted blouses, structured pleats, light colors and subtle fabric textures.
