This feat, was recently achieved for the ninth time with his latest creative and entrepreneurial achievement, namely the SKIMS line for Italian luxury house Dolce & Gabbana. Masterfully designed keeping in mind the vintage Italian aesthetic, the marketing campaign is beyond a reasonable doubt based on the aura of the vintage Italian siren Sophia Loren. The hair, eyes and extreme sensuality exuded by the campaign strikes the right balance between being feminine while also taking up the position assertively.
However, the capsule line is iconic not only for how it captures an old-world Italian vibe, but also for the fact that it marks an official professional reunion between Kim and sister Kourtney Kardashian, with whom There was a lot of controversy in public. Regarding their overlapping ‘dolce vita’ marriage aesthetics, a heated argument followed in which Kim said Kourtney was overly sensitive and Kourtney later responded by calling her a “witch”. However, all this seems to be a thing of the past, as the sisters are joining hands to join this campaign.
Apparently, the reunion, coupled with the undeniable market attraction of both Dolce & Gabbana and SKIMS, has caused demand for the limited edition pieces to skyrocket, so much so, that the official SKIMS website suffered a crash! It appears that the website is now back up and running, with patrons rushing to grab whatever last stocks of items they can get their hands on.
What is so special about that line you ask? Think sexy and sheer but totally utilitarian shapewear matched with the occasional splash of all-leopard printed ensemble, the first being a SKIMS staple and the second being a D&G. The attention to detail in a shapewear line is a great investment in sculpting your body, because you need to feel beautiful (and sexy) not only on the outside, but on the inside, too.
