Aam Aadmi Party convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on May 20 took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi by targeting him. ‘thanedaar’ (Police officers) And all you are trying to send the leaders to jail.
Kejriwal, while addressing a public rally in Jangpura, was quoted as saying by the news agency. Year, He said, “Now they are saying that Kejriwal has to go to jail on June 2…It is up to you whether I will go or not. If you press ‘Kamal’ button, I will have to go and if you press ‘Kamal’ If you press the button, I will have to go.” ‘Jhaadu’ Button, then I will roam freely among you…”

‘Look at their hooliganism, they arrested Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain, Sanjay Singh and me. They arrested my PA the day before yesterday. They are saying that they will also arrest Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj.We have chosen the Prime Minister, only a few have chosen us.‘(We elected the PM, not the police officer)…what is this? Will the country develop like this? By putting everyone in jail?…” he added.
He even alleged that during his stay in jail, BJP had stopped his medicines for 15 days, even though they knew that he was a diabetic patient.

“When I went to jail, they (BJP) stopped my medicines for 15 days. I am diabetic and have been taking insulin injections for the last 10 years. My sugar level should have been around 140 but my sugar reached 300-350. I don’t know what they wanted to do with me? My mistake was that I gave free electricity to the people of Delhi and PM Modi wants to stop it. PTI He was quoted as saying.
Meanwhile, while addressing the rally, Kejriwal’s wife Sunita urged people to vote for AAP on May 25 if they want their CM not to go to jail again.

“If you want your Chief Minister (Arvind Kejriwal) not to go to jail again, then everyone will have to vote on May 25. You will have to show the strength of your vote and press the broom (AAP election symbol) button,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate sought extension of the Delhi CM’s judicial custody after he surrendered on June 2 in a money-laundering case related to the excise policy.
Kejriwal is currently out on interim bail till June 1 after the Supreme Court ordered him to surrender on June 2.
