This national park is famous all over the world for the conservation of one-horned rhinoceros and its large population. It was also designated as a World Heritage Site i.e. UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 1985. Let us tell you that this is a park spread over a range of about 430 square kilometers which is located between the Brahmaputra River and the Karbi Hills. Kaziranga National Park is located in Kaliabor and Bokakhat subdivisions in Nagaon district of Assam.

More than 2 thousand one-horned rhinoceroses are found here and apart from these, elephants, wild water buffaloes, various types of deer are also found for which this is also a breeding ground. If you want to come here by air, you can come to Guwahati and after that you can reach here by road for 4 to 5 hours. You can also reach Guwahati by rail and from here you can reach Jorhat by train and then reach the National Park by road. If you are thinking of coming by road, then you can reach here by NH 37 and then NH 39.

According to the Kaziranga National Park website, The best time to visit Kaziranga National Park is during the winter season. The weather is dry at this time, visibility is good and one can see far away due to the absence of grass. Therefore, the chances of seeing wild animals are high.
