Kareena Kapoor is all set for a cinematic experience once again as her iconic films will be screened across India in a festival celebrating her 25 years in Bollywood. The actress, who received appreciation for her performance in Buckingham Murders, was asked if her son Taimur Ali Khan knows about the film festival named after her. Kareena responded by talking about Taimur’s awareness of the paparazzi and his love for football. When asked if Kareena’s elder son Taimur has any idea about the upcoming film festival, PVRINOX Celebrates 25 Years of Kareena Kapoor Khan Festival, Kareena said, “Right now he is too young to know these things. He has an idea because of the paparazzi following him. I think that’s the only thing he knows. But he keeps saying, ‘Why are they following? Am I famous?’ I said, ‘No you are not famous, I am famous. You are nothing, you have not done anything.’ He says, ‘Maybe one day I will do it.’ But right now films are not on his mind. It is only football. I hope he watches some of my films, I am sure someday I can get him away from football. You know how all boyfriends are at this age.”
Kareena Kapoor completes 25 years in cinema
PVR shared a reel with glimpses of Kareena’s popular films while announcing the film festival to celebrate Kareena’s 25 years in Hindi cinema. The actress reposted the video on her Instagram handle which showed iconic scenes from films like Ashoka, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Chameli, Omkara, Jab We Met and The Buckingham Murders. Kareena captioned her post, “Blood in my veins, magic on screen… my work that I love… the fire inside me… thank you @pvrcinemas_official and @inoxmovies for curating this beautiful festival for the next 25 (heart emoji)… so grateful (smiling, heart and rainbow emoji).”
The 25 years celebration of Kareena Kapoor Khan will be held from September 20 to September 27 across 15 cities and over 30 theatres.
