Chicken Nugget Review

After watching the drama series for the first time, audiences have recorded some positive and enthusiastic reactions to the new Netflix project. With a short runtime and low episode count, the Ryu Seung Ryung starrer drama is a suitable watchlist recommendation for anyone who has trouble with long running seasons. Plus, with all the episodes arriving on the same day, it provides an even more accessible and quick viewing experience.

One of the most common findings of the series is that audiences enjoyed their time through this new experience, which essentially made room for “little fun silly little non-serious dramas”. K-drama references throughout the show. The characters are seen tuning into their 2019 series B Melodramatic. Some scenes are shaped into parodies of Western material, such as Game of Thrones and Interstellar. Whimsical references to BTS’s music cheer the mood, while Cha Eun Woo’s name-dropping amidst all the ridiculous chaos tickles the funny bone.

Despite Kim Yoo Jung only stepping into the series for an extended cameo role, her relationship with Ryu Seong Ryeong’s character makes for a heartwarming father-daughter dynamic. As always, My Demon Star steals the spotlight as a visual delight. However, what ultimately made it successful was Ryu Seung Ryeong’s onscreen partnership with Ahn Jae Hong. Their ridiculously entertaining crossing paths has already made fans eager for them to win trophies during awards season. Ryu Seung Ryong’s return to fatherhood following his similar role in the Disney+ action series Moving has reminded fans of his underrated talent.

Even though the series was primarily presented as a comedy rollercoaster that instantly won the hearts of the audience, its emotional aspects also left an equal impact. All technical and complex criticisms aside, this light-hearted and non-serious watch can undoubtedly make for a great weekend stress reliever. The A-list cameos throughout the journey were primarily a callback to the director’s previous works, becoming a fascinating topic of online discussions.
