Justin Timberlake reportedly drank a potent $21 James Bond cocktail before his recent arrest on suspicion of drunk driving in the Hamptons.
According to sources cited by the Daily Beast, the 43-year-old singer ordered a Vesper Martini at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor.
The drink was “purely alcohol” with “no mixers.” It consisted of Grey Goose vodka, Tanqueray gin, Lillet Blanc wine aperitif and a big twist of lemon peel.
According to cocktail blogger Moody Mixologist, the Vesper Martini is “not for the faint of heart,” typically containing “4 ounces of alcohol.” The blogger added that, “It’s safe to say that the alcohol level in this martini is twice as much as any other cocktail.”
“So please keep this in mind when mixing.”
Timberlake reportedly told police he had only had “one martini” after being stopped for violating a stop sign. He also refused to take a Breathalyzer and “performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.”

What is Justin Timberlake’s ‘One Martini’ recipe?
The Vesper Martini gained fame from its inclusion in Ian Fleming’s 1953 novel Casino Royale, where James Bond gives instructions on its precise preparation: “Three measures of Gordon’s, a measure of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it well until it’s ice cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel.”
Bond named the cocktail after Vesper Lynd, a character he has a romantic encounter with.
The cocktail soared in popularity after it was featured in the 2006 film starring Daniel Craig and Eva Green.
According to reports, Timberlake was intoxicated at the American Hotel, allegedly drinking drinks from other customers’ tables. Witnesses claimed he mumbled, “This is going to ruin the tour”, before being arrested after being handcuffed by police who were “so young they didn’t even know Timberlake”.
Currently on a world tour, Timberlake is facing legal consequences due to the incident, including pleading not guilty to a DUI charge. If convicted, he could face fines and license suspension instead of a prison sentence.

Timberlake’s attorney, Edward Burke Jr., told Us Weekly, “This charge was the same as he refused a breath test. Mr. Timberlake was also charged with two other court charges, including violating a stop sign and failing to travel in the correct traffic lane.”
