The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has announced revised dates for class 8 and 9 board examinations. The class 8 exam will now be held on March 10 in two shifts, and the annual examination of class 9 will be held on 11 and 12 March. The revised exam admit card will be available for download from 5 March on the official JAC website, jac.jharkhand.gov.in. Students can collect their hall tickets from their respective schools.
The Jharkhand Board Class 8 examinations were earlier to be started on January 28, 2025, while the class 9 exams were to be held on 29 and 30 January 2025. However, all these examinations were postponed.
Jharkhand Board Class 8, 9 Exam 2025 Revised Schedule
Jharkhand Board Class 8 Hindi, English, Additional Language, Mathematics, Social Science and Science Examination will be held on March 10 in two shifts.
Class 9 Hindi A, Hindi B, and English, Mathematics and Science will be held on March 11 and social science and other languages on 12 March.
The exam will be held in two shifts – 9:45 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. This year, 5,18,002 students applied for the 8th examination, and 4,77,096 students were registered for the 9th grade examination.

This announcement has been made recently after the renovation of class 10 Hindi and science examinations. These letters were allegedly leaked on social media, motivating JAC to cancel the examinations to be held on 20 February. The revised Hindi exam will now be held on March 7, followed by science examination on 8 March.
The Jharkhand Police has apprehended 10 persons in connection with the alleged paper leak. More than 7.84 lakh students across Jharkhand are visible for class 10 and 12 board examinations, which started on February 11 with security measures in 2,086 examination centers.
