JEE Main 2025 Session 1: National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an important notice for some of the candidates who have applied for the upcoming JEE Main 2025 Session 1 examination. According to NTA, it has been found that the photographs uploaded by some candidates do not meet the required specifications. NTA has asked them to do so Re-upload new photo Today i.e. till 11.50 pm on 17th January.

JEE Main 2025 Session 1: What says NTA notification?

NTA notice State, “It has been observed that the photographs uploaded by some of the candidates for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main)-2025 (Session-1) are not found to be as per the required specifications. To avoid rejection of applications, it has been decided to give such candidates an opportunity to upload photographs as per the required specifications. All such candidates whose photographs are to be changed will be informed about the same by message on registered email ID and SMS on mobile number.

“These candidates have to login using their credentials and click on the link to upload new picture As per the given schedule.”

JEE Main 2025 Session 1: NTA releases list of specifications for candidate’s photograph

1. Passport size photo should be between 10 KB to 300 KB

2. Recent photograph should be in color showing 80% of the face (without mask) including ears on a white background.

3. The photograph should be named ‘Photograph’ and should be in JPG/JPEG format (clearly readable).

4. Glasses are allowed only if used regularly.

5. Polaroids and computer generated photographs are not acceptable.

6. Applications not complying with these instructions or having unclear photographs may be rejected.

7. Applications without photograph as per the specifications given above will be rejected.

8. Photographs do not need to be verified. Candidates are advised to have 6 to 8 passport size color photographs with white background.

9. Candidates should note that if the uploaded photographs are found to be artificial i.e. distorted or appear to be hand made or computer generated, the candidate’s application will be rejected and will be declared as ‘using unfair means’ Will be considered. The candidate will be treated accordingly.

10. Candidates are advised to take note of the above and act accordingly.

Earlier on January 11 NTA had released the exam city Information Slips for JEE Mains Exam. The first session will be conducted from January 22 to 30 and the admit cards will be available for download soon. Media reports say that JEE Main Session 1 admit card is expected to be released on January 19.
