The problem is that this song had become a superhit in the society. Crore people liked this. This scares us.

Not only this, a Delhi lawyer filed a petition that a song from the movie Khalnayak, ‘Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai…’ should be banned. This lawyer put 4 conditions for the release of this film.
1- The song ‘Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai…’ should be removed from the movie ‘Khalnayak’.
2- All the cassettes sold by Tips in the market should be taken back.
3- The film should not be allowed to be released until this song is removed.
4- An appeal was made to the Ministry to stop this song from being broadcast.
When letters started reaching the ministry from all over the country
On one hand, Subhash Ghai’s film was ready for release and on the other hand, there was a lot of uproar over this song. After listening to the song, many people had written letters to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting that due to this obscene song, it has become difficult for girls to go out in their localities, because boys tease them on the streets due to this song. People said that such songs spoil the society.

When distributors united in support of the song
However, amid protests across the country, distributors came out in support of this song. They united and wrote a letter to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. In which he said that we have seen this song and there is nothing in this song for which so much protest is being made. This song can be watched with the family. After this Subhash Ghai reached the Censor Board. The board’s catchi reached here and played 7 times, out of which only 3 were played on this song. This film then got UA certificate and the film was released.
