Some time ago, the company has launched itel Color Pro 5G. This phone has been launched in the budget segment. As the name suggests, it is a 5G smartphone. If you are looking for a 5G phone for yourself at a low price, then does itel Color Pro 5G live up to it or not? Let’s find out in this review.
Display and design
First let’s start with the display and design of the phone. The design of itel Color Pro 5G is quite sleek. It does not look like a budget phone at all. Although plastic has been used on its panel, it is smooth to touch.
It has a dual-tone design. The brand’s special IVCO (itel Vivid Colour) technology has been used in this phone. In simple words, this panel can change color in sunlight. You can buy the phone in two colors Lavender Fantasy and River Blue.
At the bottom of the phone, you will find a 3.5mm jack, speaker grill and Type-C charging port. While the volume rocker and power button are given on the right side as usual. There are large round cutouts on the rear panel which house the rear camera sensor and flash unit.
This was about the design. Talking about the display, itel Color Pro 5G has a 6.6-inch LCD panel. Whose resolution is HD + (720 x 1612p) and its refresh rate is 90Hz. The display panel has a drop-notch which houses the front camera, and because of this the phone looks a bit old. There is also a thick chin at the bottom, which is common in this segment.
The viewing experience is decent considering the price. However, the brightness level falls short when you are outdoors. The mono speaker delivers decent sound, although the audio is not as rich as other phones with stereo speakers. Overall, the phone offers a good multimedia experience considering the price.
Camera
The camera setup of the phone is quite normal. It includes a 50MP AI primary camera and an 8MP AI front camera. Despite having a simple camera, the itel Color Pro 5G takes good pictures in daylight. The pictures have good dynamic range, sharpness and decent detail.
Colours do look a little overblown compared to reality, but not by much. Photos are social media-ready. Low-light photography on this phone is probably the best I’ve seen in this price bracket. Photos are pretty sharp, have low noise, and have good detailing.

Performance
A special feature of this smartphone is its MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC, which comes with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. You can increase the storage if you want. For this, the phone has a separate microSD card slot. It also has up to 6GB of extra virtual RAM support but it does not have any significant impact on the performance. However, the performance of the phone is quite good in this segment.
The MediaTek Dimensity 6080 delivers decent performance in daily use. I didn’t experience much lag while using it. RAM can sometimes feel limited, especially when you try to multitask. But this phone is not made for heavy use.
The device can be used primarily for browsing social media, watching YouTube videos, and taking pictures.. It was largely a good experience, with some minor lags at times.
Battery and charging
itel Color Pro 5G has a 5,000mAh standard battery that comes with 18W fast charging support. After the phone’s battery is full, it lasts for about 10-12 hours, which is average. This includes streaming YouTube videos and gaming as well.
Should I buy it or not?
You can buy itel Color Pro 5G from Amazon. Its price is Rs 10,000. At this price point, 5G phones are value for money. Apart from everyday essential use, you can use the phone for clicking photos and for some casual gaming. That is, if your budget is low and you are looking for a 5G phone for yourself that can also meet your daily use, then you can go with this.
