Jamshedpur, 14 August (PTI) A group of 28 girl students from the government -run schools in East Singhbham district of Jharkhand shared their experiences after ISRO’s return from the three -day educational visit at the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota on Thursday.
Speaking at a function held here on Thursday in the district collection, the students said that the tour has made their knowledge, vision and aspirations wider.
He thanked Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Deputy Commissioner Karna Satyarthi of East Singhbham for organizing the educational journey.
On the first day, the students visited the Engineering College of the RMK Group of Satish Dhawan Space Center and Institutes of the Indian Space Research Organization in Sriharikota (Andhra Pradesh).
On the second day, he visited the State Museum and various Archaeological Survekshan of India-reserved historical sites, including Mahabalipuram Fort, Temple, Museum and Tiger Cave.
He visited a model school in Kovalam, Chennai to inspect the current educational system and resources.
On the last day, the group visited the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai and the Railway Museum in the city, where they learned about the history and development of Indian Railways.
The science was chosen through the Olympiad, the tour proved to be a unique experience for the students, which saw the coordination of science, culture and education.
Deputy Commissioner Satyarthi said that such visits give students an opportunity to get out of the boundaries of classrooms and to understand the real world, make their thinking and vision wider.
He said, “Such seizures will not only encourage not only curiosity to learn, but will promote their confidence, curiosity to achieve goals with commitment.”
Satyarthi expressed confidence that these girls, inspired by experience, will perform their best and earn praise for the state and country in science and technology, research and sports.
