Ottawa: Canadian new PM Mark Carney has taken power. Along with the farewell of Justin Trudeau, two leaders of Indian origin have got a place in the new cabinet. These are Anita Anand and Delhi -born Kamal Kheda, who have been assigned important responsibility. PM Carney is a member of the Liberal Party and a former governor of the central bank. On Friday, Mark Carney was sworn in as Prime Minister in the presence of Governor General Mary Simon. In this ceremony, members of the 30th Canadian cabinet also took oath of office and secrecy.

We have formed a small, concentrated and experienced team, which is ready to face the challenges of this time. 58 -year -old Anita Anand has been assigned the Ministry of Science and Industry. At the same time, 36 -year -old Kamal Kheda is one of the youngest women elected in the Canadian Parliament. He has been assigned the post of Health Minister.
