Indian Navy is inviting applications for the post of Sailor from unmarried male and female candidates under sports quota. Applicant sportspersons must have participated in International/Junior or Senior National Championship/Senior State Championship to be eligible for this post.

Also, the applicant must be a medal winner in Khelo India Games and Youth Games or any national or state level event to ensure direct entry. The last date to apply for Navy Sailor Recruitment is July 20. The last date to apply for residents of North East, Jammu and Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep and Minicoy Island is July 25. To be eligible for the post, the applicant must have passed the Class 12 examination or equivalent examination from any stream.

For Navy Sailor Recruitment, the age of the candidates should be between 17 and a half to 25 years. After being recruited as a sailor in the Navy, a stipend of Rs 14,600 per month will be given during training. After training, Petty Officer will be given Pay Level 5 and Chief Petty Officer will be given Pay Level 6.

Apart from this, they will also be given military service pay of Rs 5,200. The winner of any medal in the World Championship or Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and World Cup is eligible for direct entry to the post of Chief Petty Officer. Also, a candidate who has represented India twice in the Asian Games/Commonwealth/World Cup or represented India in the Olympics is eligible for direct entry into the final selection of Chief Petty Officer.

To get recruited as a sailor under the sports quota in the Navy, one has to go through trials for these sports. After this, the person also has to pass the medical test. Application for this Navy recruitment has to be done in offline mode. The initial appointment is subject to successful completion of training. The initial appointment is for 15 years. The probation period will be of three years.

Candidates have to send their application to Indian Navy Sports Control Board, 7th Floor, Chanakya Bhawan Naval Headquarters, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi. Applications will be accepted for offline mode only.
