Amid the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the opposition’s Bharat faction will hold a “Nyaya Ulgulan” rally in Ranchi on Sunday. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana will participate in the rally. Other top opposition leaders like Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav will also participate in the rally on Sunday.

1. “Nyay Ulgulan” rally will be led by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) at Prabhat Tara Maidan 21, Ranchi.

5. Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren on Saturday said the “dictatorial” approach of the Central government will be highlighted during the opposition India Bloc’s ‘Ulgulan Nyay Rally’. CM said that he has received the public mandate in the name of Hemant Soren. “But, attempts were made to destabilize his government from the very beginning and ultimately he was sent to jail. The people of Delhi also experienced a similar situation,” he alleged.
6. Shiv Sina (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi accused BJP of trying to silence opposition leaders and said that opposition leaders are together in the growing autocracy of the ruling party.
8. Elections for 14 Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand are yet to begin in the fourth phase of general elections. Voting will be held in Jharkhand in the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh phases.

9. During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won a total of 12 seats in Jharkhand, of which the BJP alone won 11 seats.
10. Hemant Soren, 48, was arrested by the ED in January soon after he resigned as Jharkhand Chief Minister. He is currently lodged in Birsa Munda jail located in Hotwar here under judicial custody. ED has arrested him in a money laundering case related to illegal land grab.
