Allu Arjun got an emotional welcome
Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday and released on Saturday morning. Many pictures and videos of his return home surfaced on social media, seeing which his family looked very emotional.
One such video is his reunion with his grandmother. The clip shows the actor’s grandmother performing the ‘Nazar Utarna’ ritual (protection from evil) before entering their house.
After this Allu Arjun touches his grandmother’s feet, after which both become emotional and hug. His grandmother is seen crying in the video. In the video, another woman can also be seen performing a similar evil eye ritual with a coconut.
Fans also became happy and emotional after watching the video. One wrote, “He’s lucky he still has grandma,” while another noted that “His grandma is so sweet.”
“I miss being hugged by my grandma,” one wrote. One user shared, “Oh, grandma is the best angel God has blessed us with”.
Allu Arjun’s increasing troubles!
The actor was arrested from his home on Friday in connection with the death of a fan during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule. The condition of a minor victim of the stampede remains critical.
The incident took place on December 4 during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule in Hyderabad. Allu Arjun attended the premiere with his family and co-star Rashmika Mandanna. A stampede-like situation occurred at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad as fans became excited by his presence. Revathi, 35, died in the stampede, while her son is still in hospital in a critical condition.
He was released from Hyderabad jail on Saturday. Since then he has been meeting his family members and friends from the industry. On Sunday, through a statement, Allu Arjun revealed why he did not go to the hospital to meet the second victim of the stampede.
“Due to the ongoing legal proceedings, I have been advised not to visit him and his family at this time. My prayers are with them and I am committed to taking up the responsibility of meeting the medical and family needs,” he shared.
