Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) Pravartak Technologies Foundation has joined hands with Cambtech training and placement firm to offer certification programs in the supply chain and logistics sector.
A press release issued by the IITM promoter stated that the certification program is designed to provide students with a simulated environment (virtual office), providing them with a real-life simulation of the actual work environment throughout the course.
Additionally, an artificial intelligence platform has been created to provide a virtual corporate environment for students to conduct various financial transactions in real time.

Courses will be offered in Supply Chain Management, Chartering Practice, Port and Terminal Management and International Liners Trade.
On completion of the course, students will be issued a certificate by Cambtech and knowledge partner IITM Pravartak.
Professor Mangala Sundar, Founder, Digital Skills Academy – IITM Pravartak, highlighted the importance of the course and said that it aims to provide the skills required for employment or re-skilling to the graduating students of Indian educational institutions and employees across multiple industrial sectors. Relevant fields and prepare them for the industry and job.
“The trainers will cover multiple areas through large problem sets and practical training, helping students face competitive exams in the supply chain and logistics sector well and confidently,” said Professor Sundar.
Similarly, Vaishnavi B Iyer, Founder and CEO, Cambtech, emphasized that upskilling is the need of the hour for every interested and ambitious candidate to get constructive placements in the field of supply chain and logistics.
“The virtual learning platform designed by Cambtec will provide a unique and distinctive training environment through a variety of methods,” he said.
It may be mentioned here that the fundamental knowledge for all the training modules in supply-chain and logistics has been developed by an international expert and former Head of the Department of Management Studies, Professor G. Srinivasan, who is also associated with. IIT Madras for more than 30 years as a faculty member and coordinator for setting ISO standards at IIT Madras.
As per the release, the first batch of the course will start on January 1, 2025. Registration will end on December 25, 2024.
