Candidates should note that they have the opportunity to modify their preferred exam cities, test paper, category or gender till November 18, 2024. Candidates can fill only one application form even if they want to appear for two test papers. Multiple applications submitted by a candidate will be rejected.
As per the notification, the exam is scheduled to be held on February 2, 2025 and the results will be declared tentatively on March 19, 2025.
IIT JAM 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have completed their qualifying degree in 2025 are eligible. There is no age restriction.
IIT JAM 2025: Exam Fee
All candidates are required to pay examination fee Of Rs 1,800 more for one paper Rs 2,500 for two test papers, except for Women/SC/ST/PWD. Women/SC/ST/PWD candidates have to pay 900 more for one paper Rs 1250 for two papers.
Candidates should also note that the application fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Candidates have to pay the fee Rs 300 for replacement exam city /Test Paper/Category and Gender.
IIT JAM 2025: Exam Pattern
According to the notification, JAM 2025 exam will be held computer based test (CBT), where questions will be shown in random order on the computer screen. For all seven test papers, the duration of the examination will be 3 hours. There will be a total of 60 questions for total 100 marks. The entire paper will be divided into three sections A, B and C.
Section A will have a total of 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) consisting of 10 questions of one mark each and 20 questions of two marks each.
Section B will have a total of 10 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) carrying two marks each.
Section C will have a total of 20 numerical answer type (NAT) questions consisting of 10 questions of one mark each and 10 questions of two marks each.
