In a heart-wrenching incident, a hearing of the IIIT-Allahabad’s BTECH program and a speech-speech student died of suicide on his birthday after conveying a message to his mother. The deceased has been identified as Rahul Chaitanya Madla, who met Nizamabad, Telangana.
Rahul jumped from the fifth floor of the hostel on 30 March, Sunday night. He came to IIIT-A after getting the second rank in JEE. The prisoners were taken to the hospital after hearing loud noise in the middle of the night. Rahul gave a message to his mother stating that he was struggling with academic pressure. Nandi added a suggestion to create a fact-khoj subcommittee with the chairman (warden’s council), senior faculty members, all warden and representatives of students, and the representatives of the students were being considered. The committee will have fifty percent of the members.
