IGI Airport: The tactics of a woman who had come from abroad so irked the officers of the Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) that they detained the woman and started interrogating her. Initially this woman kept avoiding AIU’s questions, but when the pressure of questions increased, she said something which left every officer present there stunned. Actually, this matter is of Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport of Delhi. Officers of the Custom Air Intelligence Unit deployed in the arrival terminal of Terminal 3 were keeping a close watch on the passengers coming from abroad. Meanwhile, his eyes fell on a 44-year-old woman who was coming towards him with her baggage. This woman’s gait seemed different from normal. According to a senior customs officer, as soon as this female passenger reached the green channel of customs with her baggage, the female officer of AIU started reading her expressions from the front. As soon as these officers’ eyes fell on the woman’s eyes, their suspicions were completely confirmed. After this, the woman was brought to the AIU room. During the interrogation, the woman admitted that she had brought the gold paste with nefarious intentions.
After this confession, this female passenger told that she had put more than half a kilo of gold paste in her rectum. After this, he himself took out three oval shaped capsules from his rectum and kept them out. During investigation, it was found that about 770 grams of gold paste was filled inside these oval shaped capsules. To avoid being caught by the security equipment, a special type of tape was also pasted on these capsules.

Additional Commissioner of Customs (IGI Airport) said that this woman had reached IGI Airport by Air India flight AI-2156 coming from Kathmandu. The gold recovered from him was first brought to Bangkok from Dubai. This gold was brought to Nepal from Bangkok and then sent to Delhi from there. The value of the gold recovered from the woman has been estimated to be around Rs 50 lakh. This entire exercise was done to escape the grip of security agencies.
