Delhi Airport: This incident took place in Terminal 3 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. Dial Security, deployed in the in-line baggage system of Terminal 3, suddenly sees something on the X-ray screen, seeing which he trembles from head to toe. Investigation reveals that this baggage belongs to a passenger named Paljit Singh Paul Lalwani. Paljit Singh is originally an American citizen and he was about to leave for New York on Air India flight AI-101. Under the supervision of CISF and Customs, Air India officials offload Paljit Singh from the plane and reach the baggage make-up area.

After Paljit Singh reaches the spot, the black Samsonite bag is opened in the presence of all the agencies. From within which emerges a skull with large horns. At the same time, when Paljit Singh is asked about this, he is not able to give any satisfactory answer. After which, Paljit Singh is arrested under Section 110 of the Customs Act 1962.

A new revelation came in the investigation of the skull
At the same time, with the help of Wildlife Department officials, this skull with horns was identified as the skull of a deer. After this revelation, accused Paljit Singh was presented in Patiala House Court. After the hearing, the court released the accused Paljit Singh on bail, but issued new strict instructions for some other departments including Customs.

This major action was taken on the orders of the court
Patiala House Court directed the customs officials to hand over the seized skull with big horns to the Wildlife Department. Besides, IGI Airport police station was also instructed to register an FIR in this matter. On the instructions of the court, IGI Airport Police registered a case against accused Paljit Singh under sections 39, 40, 48A, 49, 49B and 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act.
