Paljit Singh is originally an American citizen and he was about to leave for New York on Air India flight AI-101. Under the supervision of CISF and Customs, Air India officials offload Paljit Singh from the plane and reach the baggage make-up area.

A new revelation came in the investigation of the skull

This major action was taken on the orders of the court
Patiala House Court directed the customs officials to hand over the seized skull with big horns to the Wildlife Department. Besides, IGI Airport police station was also instructed to register an FIR in this matter. On the instructions of the court, IGI Airport Police registered a case against accused Paljit Singh under sections 39, 40, 48A, 49, 49B and 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act.
