IGI Airport Police: The year 2024 was full of success for Indira Gandhi International Airport Police. Talking about statistics, IGI Airport Police has busted two fake visa factories this year. In this, the first fake visa factory was being operated from Tilak Nagar in Delhi, while the second fake visa factory was being operated from Surat in Gujarat. IGI Airport Police had arrested more than a dozen accused including Manoj Monga, who was running this fake visa factory. After this, the police busted a fake visa factory running in Surat, Gujarat and arrested a person named Prateek Shah. Fake visas, work permits and student visas were prepared in this illegally running factory.

15 arrested related to fake visa factory
According to IGI Airport DCP Usha Ranganani, state-of-the-art machines were used in both these factories to make fake visas and work permits. They used to produce such high quality visas with all the security features that after seeing them, it was very difficult to identify whether they were genuine or fake. The airport police had arrested a total of 15 accused associated with both the visa factories.

107 percent increase in arrest of agents
IGI Airport Police has also cracked down on the agents who have made lakhs of rupees by luring the youth in their trap in the name of sending them abroad. This year the airport police has arrested a total of 203 agents. This number of agents arrested is 107 percent more than the arrests made last year. Last year i.e. in 2023, only 98 agents involved in fraud were arrested. There are 142 agents who have been arrested in new cases, while 61 agents have been arrested in old pending cases.

LOC issued against 121 agents
The result of this action of IGI Airport Police was that a large number of fake agents started fleeing abroad to avoid arrest. The airport police has identified about 121 such fake agents.
