News of Delhi Airport: There is news of relief for passengers going on air from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. Now they will not have to face the confusion of the terminal to catch their flights. Yes, the operations of all flights operating from IGI Airport will be limited to two terminals. In this, most of the domestic terminal operation will be from the terminal forest and the operation of the international flight will be from the terminal three.

According to Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), Terminal 1 has been decided to open a complete opening for flight operation. Under the plans, the terminal forest will be completely opened for flight operation from 15 April. Also, all the flights operating from Terminal-2 will also be shifted to the terminal. Terminal-2 currently has an operation of around 270-280 flights and more than 46,000 daily leaves for their air travel from this terminal.

Terminal-2 will be closed from April 15
According to Dial, flights of Akasa Air and Indigo Airlines are currently being operated from the terminal one. All these flights will be operated from Terminal-1 from 15 April 2025. Like dial, information about this change has been given to the concerned airlines and they have been asked to shift the flight and inform the passengers according to the plans.

100 million passenger will have capacity
Delhi Airport will be the first airport in India whose annual passenger capacity will be more than 100 million. In this, the movement of about 40 million from Terminal-1, Terminal-2 to 15 million and 45 million passengers from Terminal-3 will be possible. Also, Delhi’s IGI Airport will also become Asia’s first ‘Net Zero Carbon Emission Airport’.
