IGI Airport: There has been a stir among some agencies deployed at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport for the last two days. The reason for this stir is the serious allegations made by a woman named Hiba Ali, who came from Jeddah, against a senior officer of the Bureau of Immigration. Hiba, who reached IGI Airport on 15 November by Saudia Airlines flight SV 758, has said many serious things about the immigration officer in her story.
In her complaint sent to Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), Hiba has said that the experience of the incident that happened to her on the evening of 15 November at the immigration counter of IGI Airport was very frightening. The behavior of the officer at the immigration counter towards me was not only unprofessional and insulting, but was also extremely discriminatory. And, I cannot tolerate this kind of behavior under any circumstances.

Immigration officers kept insulting continuously
Hiba further wrote that I had reached IGI Airport by traveling in business class on flight SV758 coming from Jeddah. As per protocol, I reached the designated business class lane for immigration check. The immigration officer present at the business class counter screamed as soon as he saw me. He first accused me of lying about the travel class, then started asking me questions in a very insulting manner.
Hiba alleges that despite showing a valid business class boarding pass, he not only kept talking to me in a derogatory manner but also continuously insulted me. There was a constant smell of discrimination and favoritism in the behavior of the immigration officer. Hiba further wrote that I was deliberately targeted and harassed in a way that no passenger would ever want to experience.
