Delhi Airport. A person who came from abroad found his bad behavior costly. The matter pertains to Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. This person, who was detained due to impaired gait, was first searched at the airport and then subjected to a long interrogation. During interrogation, some things came to light on the basis of which this person was finally arrested. This arrested accused has been identified as Adil. He is an Indian citizen and currently lives in Riyadh.
According to the Senior Officer of Air Customs Preventive, the accused had reached IGI Airport on Gulf Air flight GF-134 coming from Riyadh to Delhi via Bahrain. As soon as the accused moved forward taking his luggage from the baggage belt, the eyes of the Air Customs Preventive officers focused on him. Actually, the eyes of these customs officials were fixed on the feet of the accused. To him, not only did the gait of the accused seem different from normal, but there was also a lot of difference in the rhythm of the two legs.
Seeing this unusual move of the accused, the suspicion of the customs officers deepened. He kept an eye on the accused until he crossed the green channel. As soon as it crossed the green channel, the customs officials stopped it. First he was asked in general whether he had anything which he had not declared. According to a senior customs official, as soon as the accused took off his socks, items tied with medical tape were seen on his feet. Investigation found that the gold was converted into chemical paste and wrapped in plastic polythene. After this, this wrapping was tied to the legs with medical paste. He said that a total of 969 grams of gold has been recovered from the possession of the accused. Whose price in the Indian market has been estimated at around Rs 6138310. After this recovery from the possession of the accused, a long process of interrogation went on.

These things were revealed during customs inquiry
According to the Joint Commissioner of Customs, during interrogation the accused confessed to his crime. He told that he was used as a courier man for smuggling of gold. This gold was handed over to him by a local citizen in his house in Riyadh. He had to take this gold safely outside the airport. After reaching outside the airport, the receiver was going to contact him by phone. After the disclosure of the accused, the Customs seized the recovered gold and arrested the accused under Section 104 of the Customs Act.
