Congress leader Sonia Gandhi on Monday said her party is confident that the Lok Sabha election results will be completely opposite to what the exit polls have predicted.
“We will have to wait, just wait and see,” Gandhi said. PTI When asked about his expectations from the results to be announced on Tuesday, he said, “I cannot say that I am thinking about the election result. I cannot say what I will do…
He said, “We are confident that our results will be completely opposite to what the exit polls are showing.”
Most exit polls indicate that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may return to power for the third consecutive time, and the BJP-led NDA may secure a significant majority in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
While some surveys have predicted that the NDA could get over 400 seats, most have projected a little over 350 seats, far beyond the 272-seat threshold needed to form a government.

However, the Congress and other parties in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have criticised these exit polls and dismissed them as unrealistic and expressed confidence in the ability of the opposition alliance to form the next government.
Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said, “It is not called an exit poll but it is called ‘Modi Media Poll’. This is Modiji’s poll, it is his fantasy poll.”
Congress leaders have said that the Bharatiya Janata Party will win 295 seats and form the government.
