Cathe Pacific Airways Limited resumed its non-stop passenger service from Hyderabad to Hong Kong, worked three times a week.
A press release by GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) said on Thursday that with the commencement of this resume, Cathe Pacific now operates in five Indian cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad – playing their role as a prominent carrier.
The Cathe Pacific, which suspended his Hyderabad operation during the Kovid -19 epidemic in 2020, resumed services on 31 March this year.
High anticipated service operates three times a week – on Monday, Thursday and Sunday.
Gial CEO Pradeep Panikar said that re -starting direct flight services between Hyderabad and Hong Kong is an important milestone in the international connectivity of the airport.
He said that it would facilitate strong business relations, tourism and cultural exchange between the two dynamic regions.
He said, “Additionally, re-introduction introduces valuable belly cargo capacity, allowing us to offer a solution more timely for the Hyderabad market, especially benefiting time-sensitive products such as pear, mail and courier services.”
Rakesh Raikar, the regional general manager of Cathe for South Asia, Middle East and Africa, said, “Refuying flights to Hyderabad is an important step in our India expansion strategy. With this resumption, we are committed to providing more options for Indian travelers, more and more connectivity and world -class service.”
Direct service is operated by Airbus A330-300 aircraft of the airline, including business and economy cabins.
Cathe Pacific now operates a total of 39 returns per week from five destinations in India.
By September 1, 2025, it will increase to 43 return flights per week, including five flights per week, double-theic flights from Delhi, ten flights per week and daily flights from Bengaluru and Chennai.
The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport crossed 25 million passenger traffic mark in 2024, while 2023 increased by 19 percent, compared to 21 million.
