Dr. Rawat told that the condition of anemia arises when the amount of hemoglobin in the blood becomes less than normal. Hemoglobin deficiency is common in women and due to this women often become victims of anemia. The condition of anemia can arise due to lack of adequate amount of iron, vitamin B12, folic acid and other essential nutrients in the diet. Conditions like pregnancy, periods and bleeding increase the risk of anemia in women. This is the reason why women should try to keep their hemoglobin normal.

According to health experts, due to the condition of anemia, women start experiencing symptoms like extreme fatigue, weakness, dizziness, shortness of breath, headache, yellowing of the skin and rapid heartbeat. This condition affects the functioning of the body. If anemia is not treated on time, it can also be life threatening. Anemia in pregnant women affects the development of the child in the womb. This may cause complications. Women should keep getting their hemoglobin levels checked during pregnancy.

How to overcome hemoglobin deficiency?

To overcome hemoglobin deficiency, women should improve their diet and adopt a healthy lifestyle. To overcome hemoglobin deficiency, you can consume iron-rich foods like green leafy vegetables, pulses, fresh fruits, chicken, meat and seafood. Eat plenty of oranges, avocados and whole grains.
