New Delhi. Honda has finally entered the Indian electric two-wheeler market with the introduction of its Activa electric scooter (Honda Activa e:). Honda Activa e: has been introduced in two variants – Activa e: and QC1. The company has currently revealed the scooters, while the prices will be announced and booking will start on January 1.
The company will start delivery of these scooters from February 2025. In the initial phase, this scooter will be available in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru and later it will be made available in other cities. Let us know what special features are provided in Honda Activa electric scooter.
Equipped with portable battery with great range
Honda Activa e: has two swappable batteries of 1.5kWh, which give a range of 102 kilometers once fully charged. These batteries have been named Honda Mobile Power Pack e: which have been developed by Honda Power Pack Energy India. The company says that it has made battery swapping stations in Bengaluru and Delhi, while these will soon be ready in Mumbai.
Top speed is 80 km per hour
These batteries power a 6kW permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, which produces 22Nm of peak torque. It has three riding modes – Eco, Standard and Sport. In sport mode, it gives a top speed of 80 kmph and accelerates from 0 to 60 kmph in just 7.3 seconds.
Design and features
Honda’s e-scooters are provided on 12-inch alloy wheels, which are supported by telescopic forks and dual spring suspension. It has been provided with disc-drum combination for braking. The company will make the Activa electric scooter available in five color options which will include Pearl Shallow Blue, Pearl Mystery White, Pearl Serenity Blue, Matte Foggy Silver Metallic and Pearl Igneous Black.
