When a media person asked Eknath Shinde whether he and Ajit Pawar would take oath as deputy chief ministers at Azad Maidan, Shinde replied, “Let’s wait till the evening. The oath ceremony is tomorrow.”

Adding to Shinde’s reply, Ajit Pawar immediately said, “They will be known by the evening. I am taking an oath. (He (Shinde) will find out by the evening. I am the one taking the oath.)” The NCP chief’s witty remark left both party leaders and journalists laughing.

At this point, Eknath Shinde takes the fun a notch higher. He said, “Dada (Ajit Pawar) has the experience of taking in the morning as well as in the evening. (Ajit Pawar has the experience of taking oath in the morning as well as in the evening),” which made everyone present at the program burst out laughing.

Ajit Pawar said in Marathi that when he and Devendra Fadnavis took oath last morning, they were unable to maintain the government for long. However, this time he assured that he would complete the full five-year term.
