New Delhi. You will remember a scene from the movie ‘Dil Wale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’, in which the hero Rahul is hanging at the train gate, the train has left and the heroine Simner is running. But a groom is about to miss his train at Howrah station. Seeing this the wedding guests ask for help from DRM. The Railways also immediately comes into action and somehow manages to accommodate the entire wedding procession including the groom in the train.
The wedding procession was going from Mumbai to Guwahati by train. The connecting train Satyagraha Express had to be caught from Howrah. The time of departure of the train was approaching and the wedding procession was about 15 km away. were far away. It seemed difficult to catch the train. Chandrashekhar Bagh, who was in the procession, realized that there were many elderly people and children in the procession, who were unable to walk fast enough to catch the connecting train at the station. In this way, missing the train was almost certain.
During this time, he got an idea and asked for help on Twitter to the DRM and DCM of Howrah. Both of them immediately became active and instructed the railway employees to help them so that they would not miss their train. Railway employees made a complete plan. A special corridor was made from platform number 21 (New Complex) to platform 9 (Old Complex) for the 35 people involved in the procession. More than a dozen employees were deployed. Battery vehicles were already parked on the platform.
As soon as Gitanjali Express reached the platform, the staff immediately unloaded the luggage of the wedding guests and placed the luggage on battery vehicles, in which the elderly were seated. All the wedding processions were taken to platform number 21 through a special corridor and as soon as Satyagraha arrived, everyone along with their luggage was conveniently seated in the train. In this way the groom reached the bride’s house with the wedding procession on time.
