Under the influence of alcohol, the youth did not realise that the engine had stopped. When the car engine stopped, the AC also went off. Due to the window being closed, suffocation in the car increased and I started suffocating.
New Delhi. 36-year-old cab driver Kallu earned money the whole day and at night after having dinner and drinking 4 drinks, he switched on the AC of the car and slept in the cab. The fatigue of the whole day, the intoxication of alcohol and the cold air of the AC made Kallu fall into a deep sleep in a short time. His cab was parked near a traffic signal in Prahlad Garhi. When there was no movement in the cab till late in the morning, the traffic policeman and the people around got suspicious. When they went closer and looked inside, they were shocked to see the scene inside. On opening the gate of the car, they found that Kallu had died and the car was lying closed.
Police say that Kallu Dubey’s car WagonR was a CNG fitted cab. Dubey drank too much alcohol at night and he did not realize that the gas in his car had run out. After the gas ran out, the engine of the car stopped and the AC also went off. After this, he suffocated in the car and it is suspected that he died due to suffocation. At present, his body has been sent for postmortem, so that the real cause of death can be ascertained.
The owner kept calling
Dubey’s car owner Amlesh Pandey says that he started calling him continuously from 7 am because he had to pick up a customer. Pandey, who runs a company named Priyansh Tours and Travels, said that when Kallu did not pick up the phone, he cancelled the booking. Finally, he was found through phone location.
broke the glass and took it out
Pandey, the owner of the car, said that after finding the location through his phone, he found his car parked near a liquor shop and Kallu was lying inside. When the car door did not open even after knocking several times, he called Kallu’s family and the police. The police broke the glass of the car and took Kallu out and took him to the nearest hospital, where he was declared dead.
what did the doctor say
Harsh Hospital owner Dr BP Tyagi says that due to intoxication, Kallu did not know that the car’s engine had stopped and when the car’s AC was turned off, carbon monoxide started filling in it. The car’s windows were also closed, due to which there was a shortage of oxygen in the car and due to carbon monoxide, oxygen stopped reaching his heart and brain. In such a situation, there is a high possibility that he might have died due to suffocation. However, only the postmortem report will make things clear.
