A- Receivable:

Setting a goal that is out of one’s reach can discourage students in the long run. It’s good to be ambitious, but if it succeeds the experience of failure will result in a reluctance to set other goals. Rather, students need to be conscious of setting goals that are attainable as this also makes them proactive in achieving them.

R- Realistic:

Identifying realistic goals and having access to what type of resources are required, how much time is required to allocate to achieve the goal, is very important to ensure that your efforts do not go in vain.

T- Timed:

Students need to understand that maintaining time-bound goals helps them a lot. Goals can be short-term or long-term depending on the criteria. They can then be broken down into tasks or milestones that can be tracked and measured to record progress.
