Government will bear the expenses from wedding night to honeymoon, sex ministry will be formed in this country

New Delhi: Russia is currently embroiled in war. But the Russian government is bringing such a ministry which has not been formed in any country till now. It seems that Russia does not want to leave any stone unturned to deal with the country’s declining birth rate. With ideas ranging from encouraging sex in the workplace to giving people financial incentives to go on a first date, Russia is stepping up efforts to reverse its demographic decline.

According to The Mirror, Russian officials are bringing various proposals with the aim of increasing the population of the country. One suggestion includes encouraging citizens to turn off both the internet and lights at home between 10 pm and 2 am – creating a “no-disruption” environment to promote intimacy between couples.

Government will bear the expenses from wedding night to pregnancy
In another proposal, couples will get up to 5,000 rubles (Rs 4,302) from the government for their first date. One recommendation suggested that a newlywed couple’s wedding night expenses should be covered by the state, and hotel expenses should be capped at 26,300 rubles (Rs 22,632) to promote the possibility of pregnancy.

Other proposals are even more creative, such as compensating stay-at-home mothers for household work and counting this work into their pensions. In addition to these national strategies, some regions are also taking action. In Khabarovsk, young women aged 18 to 23 are offered £900 (Rs 98,029) as an incentive to have a child. Meanwhile, in Chelyabinsk, the reward for the first child is a much higher £8,500 (Rs 9.26 lakh).

Earlier, regional Health Minister Dr Yevgeny Shestopalov had asked Russians to incorporate a ‘sex at work’ scheme into their lives, suggesting having a baby during lunch and coffee breaks. “You can reproduce during breaks, because life goes by very quickly,” Shestopalov was quoted as saying by The Mirror.
