Germany’s Christmas Market Attack: A terrorist attack took place in a Christmas market in Magdeburg city of Germany in which dozens of people were injured and two people died. A running car crushed people in a very crowded area of the market. In this attack, a total of 68 people were seriously injured and a youth, including a child, was reported dead. The name of the person who carried out this attack is Taleb. Taleb was immediately arrested but who is this Taleb and why did he do this?
– 50 year old Taleb A. Is a resident of Saudi Arabia. He works as a psychiatry and psychotherapy consultant in Bernburg. Taleb had been living in Germany since 2006 and was granted refugee status only in 2016. Taleb was once a Muslim but is now said to be a staunch critic of Islam. He is a supporter of Alternative for Germany (AfD) active in Germany.
-According to BBC, although Taleb was born in 1974 in Hofuf city of Saudi Arabia, there is no place for atheism there. From there he came to Germany and here he started helping former Muslims by starting a website. These would be those former Muslims who once came from Saudi Arabia or the Middle East.
-Taleb faces allegations of terrorism in Saudi Arabia and trafficking of girls from the Middle East to European countries. Germany has not yet taken any decision regarding handing over Taleb, who is included in the most wanted list, to Saudi Arabia.
