Gate 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee-The nodal institute for conducting the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2025- will end the registration process for admission to postgraduate Engineering Program on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Interested candidates who have not been able to register for the exam yet can visit the official website of GATE 2025 and apply for the exam at gate2025.iitr.ac.in till tomorrow.
As per the notification, GATE 2025 application can be filled online only, and a candidate can fill only one application form. If a candidate wishes to appear in the second paper (from a two-paper combination), he/she can add the concerned paper in his/her original application. IIT-Roorkee warned that in case of multiple applications, only one will be accepted, and the remaining applications will be rejected without refund of the fees paid.
The examinations will be conducted on February 1, 2, 15 and 16 in 2025 in two shifts – morning and afternoon – each day. The first shift (forenoon shift) will start at 9:30 am and end at 12:30 pm, while the second shift (afternoon shift) will start at 2:30 pm and end at 5:30 pm.
Candidates should note that GATE 2025 Achievement: The result will be valid for three years from the date of declaration.
GATE 2025: Eligibility Criteria
As per the notification, candidates currently studying in the third or higher year of any undergraduate degree program or who have completed a government approved degree program in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts/Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2025. GATE 2025: Documents required for registration
Candidates must submit the following documents to complete the registration process:
- Photograph: A candidate will require a high-resolution passport size (3.5 cm width × 4.5 cm height) photograph in JPEG/JPG format. The file size should be minimum 5 KB and maximum 1 MB.
- Signature: High-resolution image of the signature of the candidate (3.25 by 3.75) in JPEG/JPG format. The file size should be between 5 KB (minimum) to 200 KB (maximum). Candidates should note that signatures other than black and blue will not be accepted.
- Scanned copy of Category (SC/ST) Certificate in PDF format (if applicable).
- Scanned copy of pwd certificate In PDF format (if applicable).
- Scanned copy of Dyslexia Certificate (if applicable) in PDF format.
- Scanned copy of valid photo identity document: Aadhaar-UID (Preferred)/Passport/PAN Card/Voter ID/Driving License.
- The photo ID must contain the candidate’s name, date of birth and unique photo ID number.

- Log in using registered credentials

GATE 2025: Exam Pattern
According to the IIT-Roorkee notification, GATE 2025 will consist of 30 exam papers. method of examination paper It will be in English and will be completely objective type. Candidates will be allowed to choose one or two test papers from the permissible combinations. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours and GATE scores will be valid for three years from the date of declaration of result.
Question types include multiple choice questions (MCQ), multiple choice questions (MSQ). And numerical answer type (NAT) questions. In MCQs, only one of the four options is correct. In MSQ, one or more of the four options is/are correct; And for NAT questions, the answer must be keyed in using the virtual keypad.
