New Delhi: Famous personality of cinema world Mangesh Kulkarni has retired from the world. Apart from acting in films, he also worked as a writer and director. He was also famous as a lyricist. He wrote the famous Bollywood film ‘Yes Boss’, in which Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla played the lead roles. He was associated with the film ‘Awara Pagal Deewana’ as a writer. He also wrote the 1999 film ‘Dil Kya Kare’. He was the producer and writer of the film ‘Faster Fene’ released in 2017.
Mangesh Kulkarni greatly enriched Marathi cinema with his writings. He also wrote the title songs of Marathi shows like ‘Abhalmaya’ and ‘Vadalvat’. He came up with the lyrics of the title song of ‘Abhalmaya’ while traveling in a bus. Mangesh Kulkarni once told that he had written the lines of his song on the bus ticket. He had also written the show ‘Life Line’ directed by Vijaya Mehta. Let us tell you that Mangesh Kulkarni started his career in 1993 with the Marathi film ‘Lapandav’. He soon became a part of Bollywood on the basis of his talent. He was also the writer of the film named ‘Ghulam-e-Mustafa’, which was released in 1997. In this, Nana Patekar and Raveena Tandon were seen in lead roles.

Mangesh Kulkarni had written many popular songs in Marathi language. He is credited for writing the scripts of films like the 2000 film ‘Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya’. The veteran artiste had done commendable work as a screenwriter in Hindi and Marathi cinema. Kulkarni died today on Saturday afternoon, 19 October, at the age of 76.
