New Delhi. Citroën India has introduced the Explorer Edition of Citroën Aircross in the Indian market on 4th November. Its exterior has been given special khaki color inserts along with body stickers at a price of Rs 24,000. Apart from this, black hood garnish has also been used on the exterior, which has made its look even more spectacular.
The cabin gets premium features like illuminated side sills, footwell lighting and a dashcam. If you choose the Rs 51,700 optional pack with its special edition, you will also get Rear Seat Entertainment Package with Dual Port Adapter, making the journey even more comfortable for the passengers.
Features of Explorer Edition
The headlights have also been upgraded in the Explorer Edition. In place of the earlier halogen lights, new LED projector headlights have been provided, which provide better illumination. Additionally, the ORVMs (Outer Rear View Mirrors) now include electrically adjustable and auto-folding functions. On the side, 17-inch dual tone alloy wheels are present as before, while no other change has been made in the exterior design.
The layout of the dashboard in the cabin remains the same, but now soft touch materials have been used in it, which give it a more premium feel. Apart from this, now features like 6 airbags, rear vents with automatic AC, sliding front armrest, new flip key, grab handle and rear power window switch on the door card have been made standard in the car.
How much is the price?
Talking about the price, the ex-showroom price of its special edition model is Rs 10.23 lakh. At the same time, its base model is available at a starting price of Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan-India) and the price of the top variant goes up to Rs 14.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan-India). This car is available in 5 seater and 7 seater options.
In the segment, Citroen Aircross competes with vehicles like MG Astor, Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and Maruti Grand Vitara. Apart from this, 7 seater Aircross can also be a good alternative to Mahindra Scorpio Classic.
The SUV is equipped with a powerful engine
In terms of performance, the special edition of this SUV gets the same 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which produces 110hp power and 170Nm torque with 6-speed manual transmission and 205Nm with 6-speed torque converter automatic. Generates torque.
Apart from this, this SUV now also has the option of a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, which generates 81hp of power and 115Nm of torque and is paired only with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The same engine setup is also found in the C3 hatchback and Basalt coupe SUV.
