Hiramani told that she used to do Khaddi work at home for about two and a half decades, but in the year 2021, after meeting the officials of Himachal Pradesh Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation located at Mandi, she decided to pursue this work commercially. For this, work was started by renting a shop in Sayanj Bazaar. He was given the job as a master trainer by the corporation. Gave one year training in handloom to 8 women of the village. Also received Rs 7500 per month as a trainer. Trainee women were also provided a pit and an amount of Rs 2400 per month by the corporation during their training.
Strengthening the family with her efficiency
Hiramani told that today she prepares Kinnauri and Kullu style shawls and mufflers under Khaddi business. From this she is earning fifteen to twenty thousand rupees every month and is helping in the family’s finances. All the women who have received training are also doing Khaddi work on their own, some from home and some from their shops.

Bhupendra Kumari, who belongs to village Sayanj, also works like him in weaving shawls etc. She belongs to a poor family and her father is a farmer. After completing her schooling in the year 2023, she stayed at home. During this time, with the encouragement of Hiramani, she started working as a quarryman. The women of the village were given one year training from August 2023 to learn the work of Khaddi by the Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation. Due to interest in this work, the training was completed easily. During this period, a pit was provided by the corporation. Incentive amount was also given every month during training. During the training itself, shawls and mufflers were prepared, due to which extra money started coming in.
Today she is doing shawl and muffler work from her home and is earning up to ten thousand rupees per month. She is helping in meeting her own expenses and the needs of her family. He thanked the state government for running such schemes to provide self-employment to rural women.

Recently, more than 90 people in the district have been given one year training in handloom weaving. An incentive amount of more than thirty lakh rupees has also been provided during the training.
