Due to Arvind Kejriwal being in jail, his wife Sunita will start the campaign for Haryana assembly elections on July 20.

Date:

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita will launch the election campaign for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Haryana ahead of the assembly elections later this year. Sunita Kejriwal will launch the “Kejriwal Ki Guarantee” for Haryana in the absence of the Delhi Chief Minister on Saturday, July 20. The campaign will be launched during a townhall in Panchkula.

A statement issued by AAP said that Delhi Chief Minister’s wife Sunita Kejriwal will announce “Kejriwal Ki Guarantee” at a town hall meeting in Panchkula, Haryana on Saturday. She will be accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP’s national general secretary (organisation) Sandeep Pathak and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, the statement said.

“We don’t make promises like the BJP and the Congress, we give guarantees. These will be Arvind Kejriwal’s guarantees and not (Narendra) Modi’s empty guarantees,” AAP’s state unit president Sushil Gupta said on Friday.

He said, “Haryana should get water. Every state should get water. Distribution of water is the job of the central government, the Prime Minister.”

Meanwhile, AAP has announced that it will not form an alliance with opposition parties for the Haryana assembly elections, as the people of the state are looking towards the party with great expectations. This means that AAP will contest all 90 seats in the state.

The AAP leader also claimed that the law and order situation in the state has worsened.

He said, “Jungle Raj prevails in Haryana. Murder, extortion have become common. The government is unable to rein in criminals but it tries its best to stop farmers from going to Delhi in support of their demands.”

Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal is currently in judicial custody in the money laundering case related to the excise policy. Sunita Kejriwal had actively campaigned for the party candidates in Delhi, Haryana and Gujarat during the recently held Lok Sabha elections 2024.
