New Delhi. Triumph on Tuesday launched its new Speed 400 motorcycle in India, priced at Rs 2.4 lakh (ex-showroom). This new model is about Rs 15,000 more expensive than the previous variant.
Some minor changes have been made to this bike to make its riding experience even better. Now Speed 400 is available in four colors which include Racing Yellow, Phantom Black, Pearl Metallic White and Racing Red.
Thicker foam has been added to the bike’s seat to make long distance rides more comfortable. Also, it has been fitted with high-profile radial tyres from Vredestein, and the brake and clutch levers are adjustable. Bookings for this new Speed 400 have started and its delivery is going to start in a few weeks.
The new Triumph Speed 400 has a 399cc liquid-cooled engine, which generates 39.5 bhp of power and 39Nm of torque. This engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike has features like ride-by-wire throttle, full-LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, and semi-digital instrument cluster.
This bike is the first product launched in partnership between Bajaj and Triumph. It is also the company’s entry-level motorcycle globally. The Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X use the same 398cc engine, which produces 40hp of power. The company has also provided genuine Triumph accessories for these bikes.
