Shashwat Singh/Jhansi. The heat continues to wreak havoc in Uttar Pradesh. During Nautapa, the temperature has crossed 48 degrees in many cities of the country. In the scorching heat, not only human health deteriorates, but cars and motorcycles also heat up excessively. People who ride bikes face the most problems. Often the bike overheats. Due to the scorching sun, there are complaints of bikes catching fire and tyres bursting.
Automobile engineer and bike expert Rahim said that whenever bike riders go to fill petrol, they should never fill the tank completely. Stop a little before the tank is full. If the tank is full, the gas formed in it will create more pressure. Due to this, the petrol tank can catch fire.
take care of tyres
Rahim said that special care should be taken of tyres in summers. If the tyres have become old, then get new tyres installed. Sometimes bad tyres burst due to heat. Along with this, fill the tyres with as much air as required. Air expands very fast in summers. Due to this, the tyre can burst. Keep getting the tyre pressure checked every week.
Do not use the brake unnecessarily
Rahim said that during summers, take care of the brakes and chain of the motorcycle. Check the brake oil from time to time. Also check the brake pads. Clean the chain from time to time and keep applying lubricant. Do not use the brakes repeatedly while riding the bike. Never drive the bike while pressing the brakes. This can cause sparks and fire.
Get the battery checked regularly
Rahim said that take special care of the bike’s battery in summer. Take regular care of the battery terminals. More carbon deposits are deposited on the battery in summer. Also check its water level. If you keep all these tips in mind, the bike will run well in summer.
