US President Donald Trump on Monday (March 3) criticized Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelancesi, when Zelancesi suggested that the end of Russia’s war against Ukraine “is still far away”.
Talking to reporters about a new European peace initiative, Zelancesi was cautious about making premature statement.
“We are talking about the first stages today, and so, as long as they are not on paper, I would not like to talk about them in great detail,” Zelancesi said.
He emphasized further challenges, saying, “An agreement to end the war is still far away, far away, and no one has started all these steps yet.
Trump condemns Zelansky’s comment
Trump forcefully responded by accusing Zelancesi of prolonging the struggle and relying much over American support.
“This is the worst statement that could be made by Zelancesi, and America will not keep it with it for a long time!” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “This is what I was saying, this man does not want him to support America until he supports America … in Europe, Europe, meeting, which was with Zelanceci, said flatly that they cannot work without America – perhaps a great statement was not given in the context of strength performance against Russia. What are they thinking?”
Zelansky confirms commitment to peace
In response to concerns about the US and European support, Zelancesi reiterated Ukraine’s commitment to achieve a permanent peace.
“We continue our work with partners. We already have conversations and other steps coming soon. It is very important that we try to make our diplomacy really really important to end this war, “he wrote on X (East Twitter). “We need real peace and Ukrainians want it the most because the war ruins our cities and towns. We lose our people. We need to stop war and guarantee security. ,
Zelansky also expressed confidence in Ukraine’s ongoing partnership with the United States. “I think our relationship will continue (with America), as it is more than a timely relationship,” he said before going to London on Sunday. “I believe Ukraine has a strong partnership with the United States to maintain Ukraine’s aid and support.”
Uncertain future for our support
Zelansky’s comments come at a time when the US support investigation for Ukraine is increasing. Trump has been vocal about rethinking the role of America in the struggle, while European nations are carrying forward their contribution. The debate on military assistance and diplomatic efforts shows that the future of US-Quaraine relations is uncertain.
Zelanski is excited despite the Oval Office Clash
Zelancesi maintained a positive public performance despite the recent hot exchange with US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Wance. During the Oval Office meeting, Trump and Vance accused Zelancesi of being “derogatory” and urged them to show more gratitude for the help of the US. This conflict comes at a challenging time for Ukraine, whose undersression army is struggling to stop large Russian forces.
European support rally
Zelansky continued for Ukraine and in the increased support to join the European leaders of the UK Prime Minister Kir Stmper in London and in the increased support. It comes amidst political uncertainty in Tram’s visit to Russian President Vladimir Putin of America and Trump.
White House pushed for concessions
The White House is more open to potential concessions to end the battle to end the battle. However, Zelancesi opposed the idea during last Friday’s meeting, instead pressurized Washington for safety guarantee.
As Ukraine navigates between Washington and Europe, the path ahead is uncertain. While Zelancesi has discovered unwavering support, transferring political dynamics in the US and Europe may redefine the future of Western aid in Ukraine.
