The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya has announced the admission policy for its Master of Business Administration (MBA) program for the academic year 2025-27. As per the official notice, unreserved category candidates must have obtained 50% marks in UG, and SC, ST and PWD category candidates must have obtained 45% marks.
IIM offers 300 seats for its prestigious MBA course. The admission process of IIM Bodh Gaya consists of CAT exam scores and a personal interview (PI) process. However, the final merit list will be based on the performance in CAT 2024, PI score and profile score. The criteria for preparing the final merit list will be as follows:
– CAT Score: 45%
– Personal Appearance: 25%
— Profile: 30%
Additionally, IIM Bodh Gaya will consider 20% weightage for PI and 5% weightage for WAT. It will also consider 14% weightage for academic profile and 16% weightage for work experience.
How will candidates be shortlisted for PI?
To shortlist the PI process in different categories of students, there will be a cut-off percentage and overall CAT percentage in three sections.

“8 IIMs (IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Jammu, IIM Kashipur, IIM Nagpur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Trichy and IIM Udaipur) have decided to adopt a common admission process (CAP 2025 process) of PIs through offline mode . This year it was coordinated by IIM Bodh Gaya. In addition to the normal process as mentioned, IIM Bodhgaya may conduct a supplementary admission process (SAP 2025). The official notice states that the candidate’s performance in PI of CAP 2025 and SAP 2025 will be considered for preparing the merit list.
What after merit list?
After the declaration of the merit list, candidates will be asked to deposit the admission fee of Rs 20,000. Candidates who successfully complete the payment will receive the admission offer as per the vacant seat and its order in the merit list. A candidate receiving an admission offer from IIM Bodh Gaya can accept the offer within the due date by paying the offer acceptance amount of Rs 80,000. The official notice states that this amount will be adjusted against the Term I fee.
Talking about placements, IIM Bodh Gaya recruited all its students from the MBA batch of 2024. All 266 students got placement. More than 120 companies participated in the placement process. Salaries were slightly lower last year, about 7% less than in 2023. The top 25%, 50% and 75% of the class received average salaries of 18.2 LPA, 16.6 LPA and 15.2 LPA respectively.
