Actress Divya Dutta talks about what growing older and adding another number to her age plays on her mind, especially about being a part of showbiz.
Age is just a number – and Divya Dutta lives up to this adage. As she turns 47 on September 25, she says that adding another number to her age no longer bothers her.
“Earlier this used to run in my mind, now it doesn’t. I feel the same. I recently met my friends in Lucknow during the shooting of my next project and they said I look the same. But more importantly, I feel the same way – a kid at heart. That enthusiasm for life, that childlike enthusiasm, always remains intact. I think that cliched number used to bother me,” admits Dutta, who has her kitty full with projects. She will be a part of the second season of Bandish Bandits and Vicky Kaushal-starrer Chhaava later this year.

He made it a point to be with his family on his special day – which is why he scheduled a professional commitment in Mumbai on his birthday. “I just left there for a day to be with everyone and came back to Lucknow the same night,” she says, laughing. Usually I am the one who plans the party, this time too I organized a party. I have not been at home for three months, so my family took notice. The good thing about living in Lucknow is that I have a lot of friends, so the environment is good. “I don’t really feel anything special when I’m immersed in work.”
As far as her birthday gifts go, she says with a laugh, “I give myself gifts all the time. If I see something and I like it, I feel like I’m entitled to it. Sometimes it feels great to pamper yourself. Moving from one web show to another, you find ways to do it, and refresh yourself in whatever way possible.”
