A delegation of directors of coaching institutes here met the District Collector on Monday and sought clarification on various points in the guidelines recently issued by the state government for running the centres. In a memorandum submitted to Kota District Collector Ravinder Goswami, the delegation also pointed out systematic challenges in the implementation of the guidelines.
According to officials, Goswami assured the delegation of taking their concerns to the appropriate level and bringing more clarity in the guidelines. The delegation included Naveen Maheshwari and Amit Gupta from Allen Career Institute, Nitin Vijay from Motion Education, Mahendra Singh Chauhan and Nitin Jain from Vibrant Coaching and Akhilesh Dixit from Resonance.
According to the memorandum, the guidelines do not mention the competent authority for registration of coaching centres. Members of the delegation said that online registration has been made mandatory, but there is no portal to do so. The delegation said that before formulating such guidelines, the opinions of coaching institutes and students should be heard so that the rights of both can be protected.
